This podcast is about the idea of the American dream; how climbing the mountain top to success and living for other peoples' approval is a trap and leaves us feeling more depressed than fulfilled, and how Tyler and I have been navigating what to do in our lives or clients’ lives to avoid this trap and be happy again.
As for my own depression, everything I talked about in this episode helped me start my healing journey and get on a healthier path in my life. I am also still healing inside from trauma and heartbreak that I’ve experienced over the course of my life and will continue to share what I have been doing to heal :) This episode is in no way trying to diagnose or advise people with depression; rather, it’s a perspective from two human beings—one (me), an empath who has undergone trauma, heartbreak and the trap of hustle culture and the American dream, leading her down the path of feeling unfulfilled, demotivated and at a loss for the energy to get out of bed in the morning. And Tyler Charlesboi, the other human being—one who coaches others who experience anxiety on how to reduce their anxiety and control their emotions in order to live happier lives.
